I have long championed necessary reforms that will create jobs and help employers expand their operations in upstate New York. I am pleased to announce that today the state Legislature made good on an agreement to pass meaningful changes to the workers’ compensation system. The measures in this reform package will provide much needed changes to the system, making our state a more competitive place for business by saving employers hundreds of millions of dollars while providing higher benefits for workers.
